Garden Supplies

Garden supplies are used to aid in the gardening process. There are many different types of tools and supplies that can be used. The most common of all these tools is a small handheld shovel called a spade. Other common tools are a handheld rake used for softening hard soils allowing more air into the soil which is essential for plant growth. A pair of pruners are also important for removing dead branches and stems or for splicing and cloning plants.

Other garden supplies are used to transport plants and waste matter to and from the garden. A wheelbarrow is the most commonly used and consists of a tub mounted onto a tripod with one wheel and handles. They can fill up pretty quickly and become heavy and unwieldy so often a smaller wagon is used. Buckets make a good cheap alternative, but many people actually prefer to compost the waste material right by their garden and reuse that plant matter in the future instead of just discarding it.

Many garden supplies are motorized for quick and easy maintenance. These tools include blowers or vacuums to remove debris, hedge trimmers, lawnmowers, side edger, chippers and shredders, power washers and many other devices. There are gas powered or electric powered options of almost all of these different types of tools. A gas powered one is good for large areas where a cord would have to be too long and difficult to manage, while electric ones are quieter and easier to use.

If you have a greenhouse, or are considering purchasing one. You will also want to look into the types of greenhouse supplies and equipment you will need. You can find a variety of these supplies online, or at your local garden store.
